[NEWS] Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria is draggin’ its way to the WiiU and the 3DS

Choice Provisions, previously Gaijin Games,  has announced that their game Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria is to be released on the 23th of July along with the cross-buy promotion. Always lovely to hear of titles taking advantage of said feature and as for the game itself, it looks to be a 8-bit/16-bit (switch between the two) classic JPRG.

Currently the North American version is confirmed for an eshop release with a price of $9.99. The EU version however is said to coming by Choice Provisions themselves. I don’t mind another JRPG to grind through. It’s a bit of a nostalgic comfort for me this sort of thing… will have to start Grindsia first though. Trailer below:

[NEWS] Xeodrifter blasts its way onto the WiiU 30th July

As the title says, it’s coming out soon for the WiiU eshop, with the 3DS copy already available digitally. Also notable is the cross-buy option which will be available for new purchases and also for the early adopters of the 3DS game.

This along with The Binding of Issac: Rebirth for new 3DS will be some titles I’ll be grabbing when I can, digital-wise. Will you pick up the game when it goes out later this month?

Looking to boost interest in their titles, Nintendo in Japan has turned their targets to the female population in order to garner more interest within that particular demographic.

During the event, Nintendo will have several games to try out and enjoy, and they are:

Yoshi’s Woolly World (Wii U)
Rhythm Heaven: The Best + (3DS)
Style Savvy 3 (3DS)
Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition (3DS)
12 Sai ~Honto no Kimochi (3DS)
The Great Ace Attorney (3DS)
Hoppe-chan: Punitto Shibotte Daibouken! (3DS)

Also during the event, participants will have the chance to buy various items provided by Nintendo and there will be a demonstration for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer on the 3DS. Those who play the game can receive special novelty presents.

The Nintendo Girls Game Museum event is taking place between July 18 and July 20 at the Aeon Mall Makuhari Shin Toshin at Chiba city of Chiba Prefecture. A second event will be held at the Grand Tree Musashikosugi mall located in Kawasaki City of Kanagawa Prefecture on August 1 and 2.

Personally, I would go love to this event… but it’s so far away. Also I am curious, will the male gamers also be able to take part in this event or is it truly segregated to just the fairer half of the crowd? Still, an interesting event, nonetheless.

[NEWS] Get pumped or get wet, here’s the polls for the next US splatfest!

Choose your destiny (flawless victory…). Will you choose the rumbling and twisty turns of the Roller Coaster? Or will you instead opt for the simple plunge into the wet experiences of the Water Slide?

This… is a bit of a hard one for me, as I’ve experienced both and I do enjoy them. Asking me to choose between the two is a bit of a stumper for myself. And no I don’t care which side gets more votes. To be honest this is a bit of a fun thing and to add to the grief of coercing others in order to boost the popularity vote is silly and I hope won’t be an issue.

That said, I do look forward to the upcoming Splatfest for the US on the 17th July.  Tweet below and splat you later!

[NEWS] Splatooners to splat off in new map soon

What the tweet says. The map looks to be something similar to several of those in the single player campaign. From the picture it looks as if both teams start off high up and make their way down to the lower platforms all the while painting the ramps leading the way. This map looks quite exciting if I do say so myself and I look forward to giving this a spin when it’s available. Yourself?
